Job Description: Job Title: Hardware Design Engineer Experience: 0–1 Years Location: Bangalore, India Job Type: Full-time About the Role: We are looking for a skilled Hardware Design Engineer with 0–1 years of experience in electrical design, component selection & engineering, PCB design, and verification & validation (V&V) activities. The ideal candidate will support the development of robust and reliable hardware systems across the product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Electrical & Hardware Design: Design and develop analog and digital circuits for embedded systems. Perform schematic capture, circuit simulation, and component derating analysis. Work with cross-functional teams to define hardware architecture and interface specifications. Component Engineering: Select, evaluate, and qualify electrical components based on technical, cost, and lifecycle parameters. Ensure alternate component sourcing and manage obsolescence risks. Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams on BOM optimization. PCB Design: Create and review PCB layouts using industry-standard tools (Altium, OrCAD, KiCAD, etc.). Collaborate with layout engineers to ensure signal integrity, thermal management, and manufacturability. Perform design reviews for DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) compliance. Verification & Validation: Develop and execute test plans for functional, electrical, and environmental testing. Support lab bring-up, debugging, and troubleshooting of prototype boards. Document test results and ensure traceability to requirements and specifications. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. 5–8 years of experience in hardware development, preferably in embedded or electromechanical products. Strong understanding of analog/digital circuit design and hardware debugging. Experience in component selection and lifecycle management tools. Proficiency in PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD). Familiarity with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, etc.). Preferred Skills: Knowledge of EMI/EMC, safety, and regulatory standards (e.g., CE, FCC, UL). Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems. Exposure to V-model or Agile-based product development methodologies.
