About the company
Streetlife was founded over 25 years ago and is based in Leiden, the Netherlands. We design and supply contemporary, sustainable products for public spaces. Streetlife operates internationally in Western Europe, the US, and Australia. Our team consists of 55 colleagues with headquarters in Leiden and studios in Philadelphia and Sydney.
The roll
To support our NA R&D Team—consisting of around 20 designers and project managers—we’re looking for a Design Engineer with strong SolidWorks skills. You’ll transform client design requests into clear technical drawings for our suppliers and manage these projects to completion. Versatility, precision, digital drawing skills, and team spirit are key to succeeding in this role.
After completing internal training, you’ll grow into an independent team member and project leader who contributes to various product developments and technical production aspects of our Streetlife Collection, specifically for the North American region.

Responsabilities

• Further develop and detail products in the Streetlife Collection
• Design and develop client-specific solutions
• Project management: take ownership of your own product group
• Collaborate with fellow designers on various projects
• Work closely with production partners across North America
• Create and optimize (parametric) CAD models in SolidWorks
