DESIGN ENGINEER (GEAR, JIGS & FIXTURES) – MOTORSPORTS INDUSTRY LEADER

Location: Santa Clarita, CA
Hourly Rate: $38–$48 (DOE)
Join a world-class motorsports engineering team in Santa Clarita, CA, where innovation meets precision. We’re seeking a Design Engineer with expertise in gears, jigs, and fixtures to support high-performance vehicle development and testing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 2–3 years of experience in 2D/3D modeling and FEA for gears, jigs, and fixtures
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply standard codes
• Knowledge of mechanical and cost calculations, raw material codes, and design theory
• Strong project management, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Effective communicator with the ability to work independently

• Design and develop 2D and 3D models of automotive components, including jigs, fixtures, and gear systems for dyno test cells
• Contribute to a variety of vehicle programs, from pinnacle motorsports to commercial platforms
• Support electrification and engine test cell design as needed
• Apply surfacing CAD techniques for aerodynamic body components (preferred)
• Collaborate on aftermarket part design and engineering for road vehicles (preferred)
• Conduct FEA (Finite Element Analysis) on jig and fixture designs
• Prepare and release detailed engineering drawings and documentation
• Coordinate with manufacturing and quality teams for prototype and production builds
