Product Engineer – CE Attachments ( Design Engineer ) Salina, KS Great Plains Manufacturing, a proud subsidiary of Kubota, is seeking an experienced Product Engineer to join our Construction Equipment (CE) Attachment Product Development team in Salina, KS. This is an on-site position based in Salina, KS and typically works Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Occasional out-of-state travel is required. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: * Design new skid-steer and excavator attachments and OEM products from concept through production. * Manage all aspects of design projects including concept development, prototyping, testing, validation, and design-for-manufacturability. * Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure correct fabrication, welding, assembly, and functional performance. * Present design concepts, features, opportunities and challenges to the Land Pride management team. * Utilize analysis software, evaluate field testing and recommend design modifications to optimize product designs. * Create detailed drawings, bill of materials, test plans, etc. * Identify and recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product to engineering team lead. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural or BioSystems Machinery Engineering, or related engineering discipline from a four-year college or university. * 5+ years of hands-on design engineering experience, preferably in construction equipment, heavy machinery, agricultural equipment, or related industries. * Solid understanding of manufacturing processes (fabrication, welding, assembly) and design-for-manufacturability. * Proficient in CAD (Creo, CATIA, or similar), PLM tools (Windchill), and FEA software; strong skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present technical information clearly to cross-functional teams. * Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting and resolving field and shop issues safely. * Willing and able to travel out of state for multiple days during development and testing phases.
