Design Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

You as a Design Engineer will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Electrical or Mechanical design and engineering of all ranges of filters and capacitor bank products.
• Design engineering solutions including drawings and calculations according to project requirements.
• Developing technical concepts, single-line diagrams, layouts, schematic diagrams, component drawings, and clearance checks.
• Developing and modifying various designs of equipment systems, incorporating necessary adaptations, while adhering to standard specifications for manufacturing and fabrication.
• Preparing specifications, specify ratings, and check suppliers’ technical offers and interfaces.
• Reviewing the project tender documents and attending technical meetings with customers and suppliers for drawings, documents, and specifications approvals.
• Performing SAP tasks serving the engineering department.
• Creating project bill of material (BOM) in SAP and developing assembly and site installation drawings and BOM.
• Supporting site installation team on technical issues and in steel engineering.
• Building up and maintain database and technical library for the product.
• Participating in power quality measurements and solution preparation and developing power quality and power system study reports.
• Performing power system studies using ETAP or PSCAD software and conducting harmonic study analysis.
• Developing drawings in 2D using AutoCAD or MicroStation and 3D models for the products.
