KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Experience of designing with sheet metal .
• A minimum of 5 years design engineering experience.
• AutoCAD experience in 2D is essential. Designing in 3D is also preferable.
• Experience using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as a design method is preferable.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare key documentation such as manufacturing drawings in 2D using software such as AutoCAD.
• Use a combination of specialist design software manual calculation sheets to produce mechanical calculations.
• Prepare Bill of Materials to hand over to the engineering team for purchasing.
• Coordinate and liaise with the engineering team and client’s with regards to design information and design reviews.
