Position: Design Engineer Location: Bremen, Germany Field: Defence Type: Full-time Tasks: Creating standard-compliant product specifications and processing the associated product data in the PDM system. Making changes and adjustments to existing 3D designs. Implementing the specified manufacturing, joining, and assembly techniques in standard-compliant technical product specifications. Performing product data management, including design data, document, and drawing management Making changes to existing technical product specifications and documenting them in accordance with internal change processes Creating non-animated and animated 3D concepts for visualizing design concepts for quotations Assisting in the testing/inspection of products based on the product specifications created Participation in the optimization of relevant processes for product data processing Participation in the design of components for new design solutions Assemblies within the quality, schedule, and cost framework using CAD tools, taking into account the reuse of existing components Design and selection of suitable standard and purchased parts (mechanical) Binding coordination of interfaces with other assemblies in consultation with the responsible design engineer/system designer Participation in the planning, control, and supervision of integration activities for the initial product If necessary, preparation of the mechanical assembly for series production Requirements: State-certified technician in the field of mechanical engineering/special machine construction with completed training as a technical product designer/technical draftsman or many years of experience in the creation of geometric product specifications Several years of professional experience in the creation of technical product specifications and in product data management in SAP-PLM Good knowledge of SAP PLM/SAP ECTR Very good knowledge of the applicable standards ISO 8015, ISO GPS 14638, Machinery Directive, and military standards (VG, MIL-STD) Initial design experience in mechanical or plant engineering Initial professional experience in 3D CAD design (possibly Siemens NX) Good knowledge of MS Windows and MS Office applications Good written and spoken English and German skills Creativity, diligence, resilience, and ability to work in a team Willingness to collaborate with other departments Structured, goal-oriented, and independent approach to work High level of commitment and initiative Willingness to travel What we offer: • Join a cosmopolitan and internationally mixed team: We welcome individuals from all backgrounds and cultures to contribute their unique perspectives and talents to our team. • Polish your German language skills: If you are looking to improve your German language skills, we offer a supportive environment where you can practice and develop your language abilities: whether you are a beginner or an advanced speaker. • Benefit from a fixed contact person from the company: We understand the importance of having a reliable point of contact within the company.
