DESIGN ENGINEER – MOTORSPORTS INDUSTRY LEADER

Location: Santa Clarita, CA
Hourly Rate: $38–$48 (DOE)
Join a top-tier motorsports company in Santa Clarita as a Design Engineer, contributing to cutting-edge automotive and electrification projects across both pinnacle racing and commercial vehicle programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 2–3 years of experience in automotive design using CAD software
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, standards, and codes
• Knowledge of mechanical and cost calculations, raw material codes, and design theory
• Excellent time management and ability to work independently
• Strong project management, data analysis, and problem-solving skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Support component design and drawing development using 2D and 3D CAD tools
• Design automotive components, test cells, and electrification systems
• Execute concept design, preliminary design research, and detailed modeling of components and assemblies
• Coordinate with prototype and production manufacturing teams to ensure quality and feasibility
• Prepare and release engineering drawings in accordance with project timelines
• Perform design evaluations, analysis, and reporting
• Manage scheduling and documentation for design deliverables
