We are a well-established UK manufacturer specializing in the design and supply of high-quality mechanical products across industrial, commercial, and domestic markets. We are currently seeking a Product Design Engineer to join our in-house engineering team.
This is a practical, hands-on role focused on the design and development of mechanical components. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone experienced in CAD, prototyping, and working with parts such as fittings, fasteners, bearings, or other assembly components.
The position is based full-time at our Kingswinford office. Please note we cannot offer sponsorship for this role as we do not possess a sponsorship licence. We are also looking for a minimum of 2 years of experience in the workplace.

REQUIREMENTS

• HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience designing mechanical components such as fittings, fasteners, housings, bearings, or similar assemblies
• Proficiency with CAD software, ideally Autodesk Inventor
• Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing techniques
• Strong attention to detail with a structured approach to development
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

• Design new mechanical components and enhance existing products
• Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software (preferably Autodesk Inventor)
• Develop and test physical prototypes to validate designs
• Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and marketing teams throughout the product lifecycle
• Evaluate designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness
• Provide technical support to resolve queries within the business
• Contribute to ongoing innovation and product development projects
