The Design Engineer is responsible for ensuring appropriate design services to meet customer requirements and product definition within an integrated program. THE ROLE Execute and lead design work packages with support from internal and external experts. Create technical definition solutions within agreed scope, budget, and schedule. Create, configure, and prepare design data for approval for development, production, and customer service. Ensure all design data complies with technical regulations and customer, authority, and manufacturing requirements. Review completed design data for completeness, functionality, compliance with standards/procedures/specifications, and calculation accuracy. Perform design analyses for components and/or assemblies to ensure cost efficiency, safety, manufacturability, and reliability. Prepare and implement design changes and redesigns, for example due to design or manufacturing issues or customer requirements. Design and implement common procedures and standards within the company. Support product change management. Communicate and collaborate with other business departments. THE REQUIREMENTS Up to 4 years of formal study in engineering, or comparable knowledge/experience. Competent technical specialist. Preferred experience in the aerospace industry.
