As Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of mechanical and electronic engineers
  • Managing multiple design projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
  • Creating detailed designs using SolidWorks, applying DFM and Value Engineering principles
  • Conducting feasibility studies, prototyping, testing, and validation of new and existing designs
  • Collaborating with production, software, quality, and aftersales teams to ensure seamless integration
  • Staying current with industry standards and ensuring compliance with ISO and regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and reporting progress to senior stakeholders

As Design Engineer, your skills and experience will include:

  • HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
  • Proven experience in bespoke machine design and project delivery
  • Strong leadership and project management capabilities
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and engineering calculations
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Ideally, experience with commissioning and site-based engineering
