To support our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team in Carrum Downs. This role will work closely with our project, sales, and production teams to develop technical solutions and drive engineering outcomes across all stages of the product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with sales and project teams to prepare detailed proposals, tenders, budget estimates, cost plans, and project schedules to ensure efficient resource allocation and timely delivery Analyse current mechanical designs, equipment, and systems to identify areas for performance optimisation and cost-efficiency Review, modify, and maintain the current range of mechanical products to meet safety, performance, and compliance standards Design mechanical components and systems, and prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing instructions Assist in developing technical solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements, ensuring compliance with Australian engineering standards Support the planning and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high quality Assist in preparing technical documentation such as operating manuals, work instructions, and quality control procedures Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and actively contribute to a safe and clean working environment by following safety procedures and identifying potential hazards Oversee scheduled maintenance and inspection programs for equipment and systems Evaluate production schedules, operational workflows, and facility layouts to maximise efficiency and equipment utilisation Stay informed on relevant industry developments, Australian standards, and updates to the company’s Quality Management System Experience/Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Engineering 1-2 years’ experience in a design or mechanical engineering role Strong understanding of Australian standards relevant to manufacturing and fabrication Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills A proactive and solutions-focused approach with a commitment to quality and safety Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines under pressure Have the drive to achieve and exceed targets Builds a positive workforce environment and culture through positive leadership examples If this sounds like you, please apply with your CV, we’d love to hear from you
