Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Engineer - Wet Utilities to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and managing wet utility systems, including water supply, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure. As a key member of our engineering team, you will collaborate with colleagues and clients to deliver efficient and sustainable solutions for complex water-related projects. Develop and review designs for wet utility systems, including water distribution networks, sewerage systems, and stormwater management facilities Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis using specialized software to optimize system performance Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings for wet utility projects Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated design solutions Perform quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings Develop construction cost estimates and technical effort estimates for projects Provide technical input to studies and designs within your area of expertise Assist in the preparation of engineering budgets and schedules to meet project requirements Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and local regulations related to wet utilities Participate in client meetings and present technical solutions to stakeholders Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a water-related field 8-10 years of experience in wet utilities engineering, with at least 3-4 years of experience in the UAE or other GCC countries Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software such as WaterGEM, SewerGEM, StormCAD, InfoSWMM, MIKE URBAN, Infoworks ICM, and HEC-RAS Strong skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS software like ARCMap Demonstrated technical capability in water supply, wastewater, and stormwater system design Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to develop innovative solutions Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail Proficiency in project management and ability to meet deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients Knowledge of local regulations and standards in Abu Dhabi related to wet utilities Commercial acumen and understanding of project economics Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies Professional Engineer (PE) license or working towards obtaining one is preferred Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership is desirable Additional Information About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
