The Opportunity:
Avantor is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to manage, train, and coach a team of talented Design Engineers within our bioprocessing division.
In this role, you will play a key part in driving innovation and efficiency within our engineering team, working on complex single-use projects for our customers in the bioprocessing industry. Your expertise in AutoCAD and SolidWorks will be instrumental in developing technical approval drawings, selecting the right subcomponents, and ensuring all designs meet functional and operational requirements. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a results-driven leader with:

• A Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Mechanical Engineering, Operational Technology, or a similar field—or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Solid and demonstrable experience in a technical engineering or manufacturing role, with at least 1 year of leadership experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar engineering software.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with customers and suppliers.
• The ability to grasp complex technical concepts and apply them to customer processes.
• A solid understanding of engineering KPIs to drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
• Fluency in English (Dutch and additional languages are a plus).
• Willingness to travel to customer locations to support sales and technical opportunities.
