THE EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Experience in illustration or typographic design, ideally within an agency or consumer brand setting.
Strong portfolio of custom illustration, iconography, and type-based design work.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and vector illustration tools.
Familiarity with packaging and brand identity systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Designer – Illustration & Typography plays a key role in shaping the visual storytelling and identity systems of Reckitt’s Powerbrands through bespoke illustration, iconography, and type design. Sitting within the Branding & Packaging discipline, this role delivers finely crafted assets that express brand personality, enhance consumer understanding, and elevate packaging and communication design.
This is a hands-on, midweight design role for a creative with strong illustrative ability and a deep passion for typographic detail. The designer will work closely with Design Leads, Senior Design Managers, and external partners to develop ownable visual assets that reinforce brand distinctiveness across global markets.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Illustration & Iconography Design
    Create custom illustrations, icons, and graphic elements that align with brand tone, positioning, and product benefits.
    Support the development of visual storytelling frameworks, including packaging infographics and scientific visuals.
    Design visual assets that enhance consumer navigation, education, and shelf standout.
    Translate briefs into flexible, scalable graphic solutions for both digital and physical applications.
  2. Typography & Lettering
    Develop and refine bespoke letterforms, logotypes, and type systems for brand identity and communication.
    Customise fonts and typographic layouts to improve legibility, hierarchy, and brand voice.
    Work with Design Leads to define typographic principles for global toolkits and brand guidelines.
    Contribute to the creation of multilingual or regionally adapted typographic systems, where required.
  3. Visual Craft & Design Delivery
    Work alongside Branding & Packaging designers to embed illustration and typographic solutions into full pack designs.
    Deliver production-ready artwork with strong attention to vector quality, line weight, colour profiles, and resolution.
    Ensure consistency across product ranges and brand families.
    Maintain Reckitt’s high standards for craft, originality, and executional excellence.
  4. Collaboration & Governance
    Collaborate with external illustration or lettering partners, where additional craft or scale is needed.
    Align with the Global Head of Design Operations and Senior Activation roles to ensure artwork is deployable.
    Contribute to the development of asset libraries and reusable design components.
    Participate in reviews and critiques, continuously improving output and strengthening brand consistency.
