Main purpose of the Design Intern role: To partner with an aspiring designer who is eager to learn about the design process and gain industry experience. To assist in the design department for Active. Major Responsibilities: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Assist with market research of competitors for inspiration and product opportunities. * Research fabrics, finishes, and styling details for review by the Designer. * Assist with design updates (sketches, line guides, PLM, buyer note updates) * Attend fittings for all categories and take notes. Follow up with cross functional teams where needed * Assist with fabric and trim approvals/organization * • Conduct market research where applicable for the brand Required Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: * Passion to learn about the design process from conception to production * Receptive to feedback and adaptability in a fast-paced environment ·Minimum Qualifications: * Knowledge of Adobe Suite (photoshop, illustrator) * Knowledge of basic apparel construction Preferred Qualifications * Working towards a Bachelor’s degree as a current Design Student at a fashion design school * Sketching proficiency on procreate or Photoshop A successful candidate works well in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision. A reasonable estimate of the current base hourly/salary range is $18.50/hr to $18.50/hr. Responsibilities

The intern will partner with a designer to learn the design process from conception to production, primarily by assisting the Active design department. Essential duties include conducting market research, researching fabrics and styling details, assisting with design updates, attending fittings, and managing fabric and trim approvals.
