Description

Purpose This position will be responsible for supporting the design team in carrying out goals over the period of the internship. This will include developing SolidWorks models and AutoCAD drawings for our libraries, developing presentations, creating marketing books and graphics, support in maintaining our material library, and other functions and duties as required to meet the requirements of the company. Functions * Understanding SolidWorks. * Understanding of CAD preferably AutoCAD. * Able to communicate with others. * Graphics and presentations. * Material selection. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities. Reporting Relationship Reports to the Director of Design. Qualifications REQUIRED * SolidWorks basics * Understanding of how things work * Communication of ideas within the team through written, verbal, and sketch form * Adobe Creative Suites DESIRED * AutoCAD * Experience with PDM system Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Attributes * Understands the drawing and design processes. * Ensures that important information is shared with employees and others as appropriate. * Gives and receives constructive feedback. * Ensures that others involved in a project or effort are kept informed about developments and plans. * Ensures that regular consistent communication takes place within area of responsibility. Working Conditions This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows. * Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night. * Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace. * The work surface is stable (flat).
