Description

David Zwirner is seeking a Design Intern to work closely with the design team’s Senior Designer, Design Project Manager and the Creative Director. The intern will assist with all things related to David Zwirner’s design including but not limited to: exhibition invitations, ads, social assets, and the production of bespoke projects. Qualified candidates for this position should be self motivated, organized, detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, and have an interest in art and design as it applies to a commercial gallery. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Figma is required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have basic working knowledge of Figma, Indesign, Photoshop and After Effects.
    The Fall internship runs from September through December. To ensure that our interns have a well-rounded and educational experience we ask for a commitment of 3 months. Hours are 10AM-6PM, Monday through Friday, onsite from the DZ office in Chelsea, 1 day a week remote (Monday or Friday). Internship is paid at NYC minimum wage of $16.50/hour. Candidates must be residents of NY, NJ, or CT. No lodging or commuting expenses will be provided. Only qualified candidates will be contacted. Absolutely no calls or walk-ins please.

Responsibilities
  • Day to day requests from the marketing, digital marketing, content, events and social teams


    • Bespoke designs for online and print applications. Templated digital and print ads, social assets, invitations, and newsletters. This will require adapting existing design systems to various formats.

    • You will learn and improve on the following:


      • Development of design directions

      • Visual research
      • Asset organization
      • Working with type, grids, layout, and sequence
      • Prepping/exporting assets for print/online
