Main purpose of the Design Intern role: To partner with an aspiring designer who is eager to learn about the design process and gain industry experience. To assist in the design department for SRG/Haelo. Major Responsibilities: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Assist with market research of competitors for inspiration and product opportunities. * Research fabrics, finishes, and styling details for review by the Designer. * Assist with design updates (sketches, line guides, PLM, buyer note updates) * Attend fittings for all categories and take notes. Follow up with cross functional teams where needed * Assist with fabric and trim approvals/organization * • Conduct market research where applicable for the brand Required Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: * Passion to learn about the design process from conception to production * Receptive to feedback and adaptability in a fast-paced environment ·Minimum Qualifications: * Knowledge of Adobe Suite (photoshop, illustrator) * Knowledge of basic apparel construction Preferred Qualifications * Working towards a Bachelor’s degree as a current Design Student at a fashion design school * Sketching proficiency on procreate or Photoshop A successful candidate works well in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision. A reasonable estimate of the current base hourly/salary range is $18.50/hr to $18.50/hr. Responsibilities
