Description
Provide leadership and technical guidance to the design team. Represent FRTP in design and technical meetings Management, integration, and coordination of all disciplines contributing to the design. Management of constructability and cost estimating activities. Overall responsibility for the quality of all design packages / DEWA deliverables including quality system implementation, appropriate resourcing, issue identification and correction Undertaken functional and technical reviews and signoff of Design Packages prior to release. Day to Day client interface at a project level. Oversee Document Controller in consultation with Digital Engineering Manager. Appoint and approve staff in consultation with the PLT. Authorise design changes in accordance with the Delegations of Authority (DOA). Attending meetings with Stakeholders and Third-party reviewers as appropriate. Develop and maintain productive relationships with the CJV Technical Director and Key Stakeholders (e.g. TI Corp liaison). Value engineering participation (as required). Attend project leadership Team meetings. Maintain Technical Register including non-conformances and design departures. Responsible for adherence to Project Design Management Plan and Quality Management Plan Identifying lessons learned and continuous improvement actions and provide to the Discipline Leads and Package Owners as necessary. Providing guidance and assistance to Discipline Lead and Package Owners for the resolution of complex technical issues and comment responses. Supporting the resolution of technical issues with the client, where escalation is required from Discipline Leads and Package Owners. Provide assurance that the technical design scope adheres to the quality management systems and processes. Reviewing and monitoring extreme technical risks alongside the Quality and Risk Manager to ensure technically derived risks are appropriately managed. Drive communication of client requirements, consistency and coordination between design packages and Environmental disciplines. Identify inputs required for Technical Reviews for preparation by Discipline Managers / Team Leaders. Awareness of design scope. Ensuring that works are not undertaken outside of scope, and escalating scope changes to the Senior Project Manager and Commercial Manager when requested Accountable for program wide deliverables and coordination with relevant Discipline Leads. Complete Release Certificates for formal design issues for approval by the Senior Project Manager. Ensuring comments raised by the independent verification team are resolved in a timely manner. Identification of opportunities for innovation. Provide guidance and support to Discipline Leaders. Management of WHS and Environmental issues in the design process. Management of project risks. Efficient project delivery. Proven experience in the delivery of technical aspects of major infrastructure design and documentation. Extensive engineering management experience. Principal Level qualifications in their area of primary responsibility. Collaborative and Design & Construct (D&C) contract delivery experience. Major project experience. Demonstrated experience in the co-ordination and management of complex technical requirements and interfaces.
