Description:
AVANT Communications is looking for a Design Manager to join our world-class Marketing team in Chicago! Chicagoland based, this role will oversee three designers that work across digital, print, events and video, and will also serve as an individual contributor in various design capacities ideally including website, presentation and content design. This is a full time position.
Employees located in the Greater Chicagoland Area or Dallas/Frisco area are currently expected to work from the office 1 day per week; however, this is subject to change.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee design projects from conception to delivery, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality outcomes across all media channels
  • Own and create compelling original designs, illustrations, and infographics that effectively communicate the brand message within established brand equity
  • Manage and mentor design team, providing guidance and constructive feedback to ensure creative excellence and consistency, and career development support
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive brand experiences across events, social media, web, digital, video, large and small format print, training materials, and other collateral
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve design practices and strategies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior design role, preferably with managerial experience
  • Exceptional proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design software
  • Familiarity with WordPress and project management software such as Monday.com, JIRA
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across design mediums, and strong maintenance of brand equity
  • Excellent visual and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
