Due to the continued success and expansion of our Data Centre business in the Nordics area we are currently recruiting for an experienced Design Manager to join our Data Centre team in the north of Finland. With a market leading client base and the opportunity to take the lead on strategic commissions and high-profile projects, this is an exciting time to join the business unit and grow a career with Turner & Townsend. Responsibilities: Overseeing the design process, ensuring client requirements are met technically and economically Ensuring compliance with international standards, local building codes, and industry best practices Reviewing project plans and specifications, scheduling, costs saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems, etc. Coordinating between disciplines (Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical/MEP) and managing stakeholder communication and act as the key client interface Identifying and mitigating design-related risks, including supply chain and technical planning issues Collaborating with the project management team on budget control and schedule management Staying informed of emerging data centre technologies and recommending innovative solutions Building and maintaining strong client relationships, translating their needs into design requirements Developing working relationships, problem solving and driving projects to successful completion Managing project safety and environmental requirements Qualifications Degree in a Construction Management a related field Technical understanding of Data Centre Infrastructure – HVAC, Electrical, Generators, Fire, Security and BMS Professional/tertiary qualification in project management, engineering or construction A minimum of 5 - 10 years project management experience, gained within a Data Centre or similar technical environment Solid knowledge of Structural, Civil, Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical, and High Voltage scopes of work A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from project inception stage, design, authority approvals through to construction completion and post-project review Ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environment Excellent command of written and spoken English Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to your client Availability for on-site work Additional Information Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
