The Retail Design & Innovation team create and care for Apple Stores that look, feel, and function as beautifully as our products. We do this by obsessing over the employee and customer experience, and driving a global strategy that sets the bar. Existing Fleet Innovations group will focus on ensuring our current stores worldwide, across all Vintages, are well positioned to serve the changing needs of our customers and our store teams. We will analyze, research, and create key new architectural components and compelling design solutions in the complete store environment including both sales areas and backstage environments. Key primary goal will be to Innovate and drive design options and design deliverables with input from our cross functional partners at Real Estate & Development to generate efficient, thoughtful, and relevant solutions for our existing fleet of store in a timely manner. DESCRIPTION The Design Manager will create, document, and manage design solutions for ongoing upgrades and revisions to the exiting fleet of stores worldwide. You'll engage directly with Development, Preservation, Facilities partners and all internal cross functional Places Team disciplines to generate efficient, thoughtful, and relevant design solutions for the exiting fleet of stores. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 10+ years of architecture and construction industry experience. Ability to travel up to 10 % Professional degree in architecture or construction management. Demonstrate flexible thinking and creative problem solving within a fast-paced environment. Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate, and finalize projects effectively and independently. Excellent communication and collaboration skills required to develop strong working relationships across business groups and key stakeholders. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Professional licensure preferred. Strong knowledge of common construction methods, materials, and practices. Ability to express ideas and concepts by freehand sketching. Working knowledge of CAD, SketchUp, Rhino 3D, BIM tools and strategies. Impeccable attention to detail. Genuine passion and curiosity for architectural design and the arts.
