ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CSCS Card
  • Working at Height
  • Manual Handling
  • UKATA Asbestos Awareness
  • Full Drivers Licence
  • Working knowledge of design software AutoCAD and Revit.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Design Management Background of 5 years within a façade discipline.
  • Strong understanding of design principles
  • Working knowledge of installation processes and techniques in line with the latest guidance and compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Design Manager is responsible for managing the design process and system development. Undertake the design process from concept to client and BSR submission. Providing site with support to resolve unforeseen site conditions and communicate to designers and ensure compliant design. Co-ordinating the design process with stakeholders and track all changes. Providing document management on projects to assist the project teams. Pivotal in the link between pre-construction design submission and handover to project site teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work on projects of wide-ranging values and scales.
  • Issue materials compliance documentation for approval and manage throughout the phases
  • Understand, resolve, and relay calculation thermal and structural details to the site team
  • BSR submission process
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the design team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Manage multiple design projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Develop and execute design strategies that align with scope, budget, and compliance
  • Work to site standards and provide the site management with current drawing packs
  • Provide dimensioned sketches to the design team
  • Carry out detailed check measurement of design drawings on site
  • Liaise with site teams.
  • Maintain accurate communication with the Everlast management team.
  • Manage the revision and approvals process of all drawings
