Location: Dubai, UAE Type: Permanent Industry: Architecture / Industrial Infrastructure A global technology and e-commerce organisation is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the design and development of large-scale industrial and logistics facilities in the UAE. This role will play a key part in the planning and delivery of modern distribution centres, fulfilment hubs, and logistics infrastructure supporting international supply chain operations. The successful candidate will oversee the design process from early feasibility through to project delivery, working closely with development teams, consultants, and local authorities. Key Responsibilities Lead the design strategy for industrial and logistics facilities, including warehouses and distribution centres. Support development and acquisition teams with technical input, feasibility studies, and site layout options. Produce and evaluate design concepts and detailed planning options for project feasibility and evaluation. Prepare technical specifications and ensure designs meet operational, performance, and quality standards. Manage the cost implications of design decisions throughout the project lifecycle. Work with project teams to develop construction schedules and project delivery programmes. Ensure designs comply with local regulations, planning requirements, and building codes. Manage external architectural consultants, engineers, and design partners. Conduct design reviews at key project stages to ensure functionality, efficiency, and cost control. Coordinate with authorities to obtain necessary approvals and permits. Support procurement teams with technical evaluations, scopes of work, and design briefs. Provide regular progress updates to senior stakeholders. Requirements Degree in Architecture (preferred) or Civil / Structural Engineering. Minimum 10 years’ experience in architectural design and project management. Proven experience delivering industrial, warehouse, or logistics facility projects. Experience within an architectural consultancy or design practice strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience managing projects from concept through to completion. Strong technical design, planning, and project coordination skills. Proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with Rhino or Grasshopper is advantageous. Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills. Fluent English required; Arabic is advantageous.
