Description

The Design and Construction team is currently recruiting Design Manager (m/f/d) or Senior Design Manager (m/f/d). You will primarily support projects in London, Amsterdam and Germany but will also have input on projects across the wider EMEA region which will include a variety of new construction, phased expansion, upgrade and fitout projects.

Responsibilities
  • Drive/support end to end design delivery process starting from brief definition and internal alignment with various stakeholders, to appointment, management and review of external design vendors that carry out design work for projects
  • Work in conjunction with associated Project Manager for each project to ensure design delivery is progressing in line with projects brief, agreed budget and programme from throughout design and construction until hand over to Operations
  • Undertake and/or supervise design reviews to ensure compliance with company design standards, local code requirements and the project brief
  • Ensure regular reporting of progress against agreed plans to senior members of Design and Engineering and the associated project managers
  • Ensure quality and value for money received through third party appointments
  • Undertake specialist reviews within scope of your technical expertise
  • Contribute driving innovation in design to improve reliability, constructability and ease of operation keeping a focus on sustainability as an overarching requirement in line with NTT’s commitment to UN Sustainable Development Goals
  • Develop and manage long term relationships with key third party design and equipment vendors
  • Interface with peers within other departments within the region and with peers in D&E teams globally
