Role description: We're on the lookout for an experienced Port Project Design Manager to join us in Sydney or Melbourne to support our growing national ports team. Step into a key role where your expertise will help deliver next-generation port infrastructure. Role accountabilities: To work with the Project Manager, client and project stakeholders to achieve an optimal outcome for the project and Arcadis in terms of time, cost and quality. To manage the technical delivery and integration of multi-disciplinary designs, providing leadership and direction to ensure excellence in delivery. Planning and managing resource usage for the delivery of the project's scope of works. To lead design teams and manage the challenges associated with multi-disciplined complex engineering problems and have the ability to plan, manage and implement solutions. To drive optimal and high-quality design decisions by promoting a culture of collaboration, challenge, innovation, and creativity across the whole delivery team. To participate in project risk identification, assessment and mitigation. Implementing scope and quality control measures while ensuring we meet our project and safety in design commitments. Qualification & Experience: Must be eligible to work in Australia. Degree qualified engineering professional. A minimum of 10 years of experience in the port industry on marine or landside projects. Experience in managing multi-disciplinary design teams in port projects within a design and engineering consultancy environment. A detailed understanding of the technical disciplines involved in port projects. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with good leadership and relationship building skills. Why Arcadis?
