Role description: Following a major project win, we're looking for a dynamic and experienced Port Project Design Manager to join our thriving Perth team. Role accountabilities: Championing innovation in design process and in the designed assets Championing collaborative work environment Managing multi-disciplinary teams in the design of brownfield port assets Participating in interactive design workshops Planning the deployment of resources and integrating new starters into the team Developing time schedules and driving timely delivery Leading design teams within areas of proficiency Reviewing deliverables within areas of proficiency Implementing quality control and safety in design procedures Collaborating with project controls team in the project reporting Chairing meetings among design staff, client staff and other project participants Participating in risk identification, assessment and treatment Mentoring and fostering professional development of design team members Qualifications & Experience: Must be eligible to work in Australia. Degree qualified engineering professional Experience in managing multi-disciplinary design teams in port projects within a design and engineering consultancy environment Experience in design management with a consulting engineering firm Multi-disciplinary port project experience (CAPEX > $100 million) Knowledge of project controls systems including change management, planning, cost control and document management Work experience in design of ports outside of Australia is desirable Why Arcadis?
