DESIGN MANAGER:

On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Design Manager for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2-3 days onsite at our client’s Calgary office.

DESIGN MANAGER - JOB DESCRIPTION:

As the Design Manager, you’ll be an integral part of the People Places & Spaces (PP&S) team, leading the creation of innovative and inspiring spaces that reflect client’s brand and culture. The project involves the refresh and renovation of the branch network, ensuring spaces are functional, sustainable, and aligned with business objectives.

DESIGN MANAGER - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in design management
  • Deep understanding of design principles and techniques
  • Proven track record in managing complex construction or design projects
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities

DESIGN MANAGER – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience in contract administration within a retail-facing capacity
  • Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations
  • Ability to inspire and mentor a team
  • Proficiency in conflict resolution and negotiation
  • Passion for developing others through mentorship and coaching
