If you’re seeking an exciting and thoroughly rewarding career, Severn Trent is the place to be.        We are looking for a Design Manager to be based out of either our Leicester or Derby office.      EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW     Reporting directly to the Design Business Lead, the Design Manager will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of our Mains Renewal Programme     Accountable for a direct team, you will work alongside your team and the supply chain partners to develop a strong working relationship with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful design, delivery and handover of projects.       WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR     Ideally qualified in a technical engineering or design related discipline you will be an experienced engineer with a strong background in design, leading successful design teams in a highly regulated industry such as water or gas.   A strong team manager, with excellent planning and implementation skills, you will have experience of leading design projects to ensure designs are delivered to time, cost and quality. You will have extensive experience of implementing CDM regulations in the design process and strong understanding of risk management in construction and operational design. You will have experience working with a diverse team of different skillsets and building capacity and mentoring other engineers. You will have excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people. You will be a forward-thinking innovator, capable of anticipating challenges and responding to change in a rapidly evolving environment. You will be able to make educated judgments and decisions in the face of ambiguity and have a good grasp of the bigger picture. Full UK driving licence required.     The right skills and experience are important.
