Shamrock Asphalt Ltd is one of the leading commercial roofing contractors in the country. We specialise in the installation and design of flat roof systems and landscaped roofs of Commercial buildings, Office blocks, Apartments, Schools, Hospitals, Colleges Etc. We have been in business since 1978 and provide subcontract work to the largest contractors in the country – John Sisk, PJ Hegarty, John Paul Construction, Monami Construction and many more. We provide the full package of a design and build service and manage all jobs in house, from design, to workshop meetings prior to commencement, we provide onsite technical back up and assistance and this is ongoing throughout the project. We provide full testing of the system when the project is complete and also Bcar sign off and warranties.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the candidate are outlined below:

  • Manage and coordinate the design element of all our projects from pre-construction to completion and sign off.
  • AutoCAD Detailing. – produce details and drawings with site coordination.
  • Procore – uploading and management of drawings and specifications.
  • Provide technical support to the site crew and Main Contractor.
  • Preparation & submittal of technical submissions.
  • Bcar Sign off.
  • Assisting with O&M completion and submission.
  • Liase with our suppliers on insulation layouts and tapered insulation layouts.
  • Site Survey Reports.
  • U-Value and condensation risk analysis.
  • We want the individual to learn all technical aspects of the business and provide technical back up to our office teams and on-site teams also.

Candidate Profile:
The Candidate ideally should hold a qualification in a CAD design/construction course and experience in AutoCAD detailing a must. Experience in the roofing sector is not essential but preferable. You will be required to work as part of a team and on occasion to use your own initiative in order to complete tasks and objectives set. Excellent presentation and communication skills a distinct advantage. We are keen to develop the individual and the successful candidate will get great exposure to the industry and how it operates at the top level.
