Please visit our website: www.turnerandtownsend.com Job Description The Senior Project Manager will act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality, sustainability and safety standards. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who has excellent written and verbal communication skills and who wants to make a difference to the Project Management division. Key Attributes and Duties: The individual in this role should have both a strong pre contract and post contract, full life cycle delivery background. You will show excellent management and interpersonal skills, have an engaging approach and possess a very strong core technical skillset with an understanding of construction, an appreciation of commercial and have contractual awareness. Responsibilities: Lead and manage all mechanical pre-construction activities, including design constructability, procurement, contracts, and budget planning Developing working relationships, problem solving and driving projects to successful completion Managing the design process to achieve the client's requirements and manage expectations Reviewing project plans and specifications, scheduling, costs saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems, etc Managing project safety and environmental requirements Managing project timelines, risks and reporting Managing project budgets and advising on options to keep budget on track Being engaged with marketing and business development initiatives Co-ordinating vendor scope with overall project delivery Contract Execution: Drafting contract documents in strict accordance with legal approved contract templates. Working closely with project team/s to ensure effective and timely document processing and management of contract documents Bring strong communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills Qualifications Degree in Construction Management or related field A minimum of 10 years project management experience Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred Professionally qualified in one of the following fields: construction, project management, engineering, or architecture. A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from project conception stage, through all the operational stages to completion and post-project review. Excellent knowledge and experience of all the main project management concepts, tools, and techniques. Design, management or construction experience gained within the general construction environment. ideally residential, office, fit-outs and health & education Excellent knowledge and experience of all the main project management concepts, tools and techniques Ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environment Advanced Microsoft skills are essential, and Primavera skills will be highly regarded Excellent written and verbal communication skills Additional Information Turner & Townsend is an equal opportunity employer.
