Description
The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority welcomes exceptional talent with a passion to realise the vision and mission of making the West Kowloon Cultural District a prime local and international destination for arts, culture and entertainment. You will be responsible for: reporting to Chief Design Manager, providing support on design / coordination / review for all studies and projects undertaken by the Authority and/or Public Private Partnership (“PPP”) Projects as assigned; supporting Chief Design Manager on all aspects of the planning and design management process from strategy formulation, development, programming and time management as well as consultancy procurement; assisting Chief Design Manager in reviewing design submission(s) / variation(s) / claim(s) submitted by Design Consultant(s), Contractors and/or PPP Project Developer(s); working closely with 1) Project Management, 2) Engineering as well as 3) Project Procurement and Control Departments in Projects Division in their specific areas of expertise and in jointly ensuring that project programme and costs are managed and maintained as directed; preparing papers and presentation materials, and presenting key project details, such as progress and key aspects of the design to the Authority’s various oversight committees; assisting Chief Design Manager in overseeing the preparation of design reports / feasibility studies / status / weekly / monthly reports and the like for regular design progress review purposes; and performing any other duties from time to time as the Authority may reasonably direct. You should: possess a recognised university degree in Architecture or related design discipline; possess a professional membership of a relevant / recognised professional institution(s); have at least 7 years of post-qualification experience, including design management for major residential and commercial projects; have project management experience would be an advantage; be familiar with building contracts as well as Hong Kong statutory and building related legislations; have experience in using Building Information Modelling (“BIM”) tools and techniques and their application to design and construction projects; have analytical thinking, balanced mindset with design and commercial sense; be a team player, taking ownership and with an attention to detail; be cooperative and collaborative communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels; and be proficient in both written and spoken Chinese and business English.
