Do you have a strong sense of fashion, imagery, typography, and trends? And can you effortlessly translate these into striking artworks, prints, and designs? For Costes, we are looking for a creative Graphic Fashion Designer who can visually enhance our collection. As a Graphic Fashion Designer, you will be responsible for developing graphics that align with the collection, target audience, and the recognizable Costes signature. You combine your creative vision with a strong commercial sense and know exactly when a design is good and when it can be improved.

What are you going to do?

As a Graphic Fashion Designer, you work from the initial idea to the finished artwork. You collaborate closely with the Fashion Designers and Fashion Buyers and ensure that graphics, silhouettes, and collections form a cohesive whole.

• Designing artworks, placement prints, all-over prints, and patterns for various fashion collections;
• Translating the latest fashion, graphic, and lifestyle trends into innovative and commercial designs;
• Contributing ideas regarding key looks and the graphic direction of the collection, together with Fashion Designers and Fashion Buyers;
• Working on designs that fit within the recognizable Costes identity, but at the same time ensure innovation;
• Developing creative ideas, both manually and digitally, and translating them into high-quality designs ready for production;
• Monitoring the quality and visual coherence of graphics within the collection.

What we ask

• A completed education in Graphic Design, Illustration, Textiles, Fashion, or a similar creative field;
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience as a Graphic Designer, Graphic Fashion Designer, or in a similar position within the fashion industry;
• This position is based at our head office in Lijnden. You will work from the office on a regular basis and are therefore resident in the Netherlands or willing to relocate to the Netherlands;
• Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop;
• A strong and distinctive visual style and a good sense of typography, composition, and color;
• Experience designing artworks, prints, and patterns for fashion;
• A well-developed sense of fashion, trends, and lifestyle and the ability to translate these into commercial collections;
• You are creative, independent, curious, and take initiative;
• You think commercially and know how to translate creative ideas into designs that work within a collection;
• A portfolio is part of your application. Therefore, please add a link to your portfolio to your CV or cover letter.
