Your Role As a Gensler Assistant Design Manager, you will leverage your attention to detail and interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional client projects on time and on budget. Grow your project management experience while working on trendsetting projects across industries. A focus for the role will be building client relationships and driving business opportunities. This position will base in Shanghai. If you have workplace experience for professional service will be a plus. What You Will Do Work together with other design manager and senior design manager to well manage the project and resources Implementing one or more projects through the management of project teams Managing all phases of projects, including project set-up, programming, design, and construction administration Establishing and maintaining ongoing, productive client relationships Managing project scheduling, staffing/productivity, budgets, project set-up with clients, sub-contractors, vendors and consultants Tracking the financial performance of projects Preparing project proposal, negotiating fees and contracts for projects Coordinating bidding process Ensure projects conform to contract Creating and communicating clear and attainable project objectives and project requirements And any other related responsibility as assigned Your Qualifications 10 + years of related experience, including demonstrated success as a project manager role on various project types Professional degree (Masters or Bachelor) in Architecture/Interior Design from an accredited program; Licensure is a plus Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills Ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships and develop a network Ability to handle difficult situations with tact, grace and style Experience leading, managing and mentoring multiple project teams Experience with recruiting, mentoring and coaching talent. Highly organized and responsive Strong abilities in managing fees, schedules and staffing Extensive knowledge of design principles/practices, technical regulations, building code, standards and building structures Strong client communication skills Bilingual in English, Chinese. Computer skills required: Microsoft Word and Excel and AutoCAD. Revit, Spexx, and Adobe Suite all a plus Please include work samples along with your resume and Portfolio.
