QUALIFICATIONS

License or Certification:

  • Licensed Interior Designer preferred

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or similar field Required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Computer experience, including use of Adobe and PowerPoint

Skills and Abilities:

  • Oral communication, written communication, fluency in English, active listening
  • Information ordering, deductive reasoning, social perceptiveness, time management, critical thinking
  • Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner
  • Ability to work independently without continuous supervision

Responsibilities

POSITION PURPOSE

The Design Project Manager coordinates the design of construction projects, reviews drawings and finishes, manages vendor deliverable dates, and prepares other applicable stakeholder report documentation. The Design Project Manager maintains and plans for implementation of company-wide design standards that meet regulatory requirements. Responsibilities also include assisting with the planning and phasing of renovation and finish upgrade projects at existing hospitals at a program level.
This position must sit at our Home Office in Birmingham, Alabama and will travel up to 10%

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  • Manages design consultants, owner consultants, contractors, vendors and
  • Manages design project schedules individually and a program level
  • Identifies and analyzes new materials to meet Operations objectives and initiatives
  • Maintains resource library, database, and implements design standards
  • Fields hospital emails and questions regarding finishes in existing hospitals
  • Provides project management services on design projects
  • Maintains industry registration/certifications through continued education seminars, internet courses and other related courses, if applicable
  • Travels to hospitals to coordinate design and construction projects
  • Organizes, plans, and manages time effectively to complete assignments
