Description

We are seeking a qualified Design & Release Engineer with strong experience in suspension component development for body-on-frame vehicles. This role is responsible for the end-to-end design, validation, and release of key suspension parts such as control arms, bushings, brackets, and links. The ideal candidate will ensure robust performance, durability, and manufacturability aligned with vehicle requirements and engineering standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in suspension systems development for body-on-frame vehicles (e.g., trucks, SUVs, or commercial vehicles).
  • Strong knowledge of suspension geometry, structural performance, and vehicle integration.
  • Proficiency in CATIA V5, NX, or equivalent CAD tools.
  • Familiarity with automotive development processes (DFMEA, DVP&R, APQP, PPAP).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with supplier coordination and working in cross-functional environments.

Responsibilities
  • Design and release suspension components for body-on-frame vehicle platforms.
  • Develop and maintain 2D/3D CAD models and engineering documentation (specifications, drawings, BOM).
  • Define and execute DVP&R plans for structural durability, stiffness, NVH, and environmental performance.
  • Perform and support DFMEA, tolerance stack-ups, and engineering changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Vehicle Dynamics, Manufacturing, Validation, and Purchasing.
  • Interface with suppliers for design feasibility, material selection, manufacturing process alignment, and PPAP/APQP deliverables.
  • Support virtual builds, physical prototyping, and production launch activities.
  • Ensure all components comply with engineering standards, cost targets, and program timing.
