JOB OVERVIEW:

o Valvetrain & Timing Drive Design Release Engineer is responsible for engineering activities related to development of Valvetrain and Timing Drive components for gasoline engines.
o Activities include design, development, testing, manufacturing interface, and failure analysis. 
o The release engineer will be a part of a team of engineers for problem solving, product improvement, cost reduction and other issues as needed.   

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

· A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited school or equivalent.
· A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working with design and manufacturing of powertrain components. Valvetrain or timing drive preferred.
· Understanding of valvetrain/timing drive components and related manufacturing processes, i.e. steel stamping, machining, grinding, heat treatment…etc.
· Understanding of product development documentation such as, DFMEA and DVP&R
Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 per week
