Description
Design Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and BIM 360. Carrier HAP, Elite, Duct Sizer, and Pipe Flow Expert for HVAC/hydraulic calculations. Caesar II (for stress analysis), and ETAP familiarity (for inter-disciplinary coordination). Technical Knowledge: HVAC load calculation and equipment selection. Hydraulic design of water/fire systems (pumps, piping networks, flow rates, head losses). Knowledge of duct design, air balancing, and energy efficiency requirements. Familiarity with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, API, and ISO standards. Documentation & Coordination: Preparation and review of datasheets, specifications, BOQs, and design reports. Coordination with vendors, procurement, and construction for technical clarifications. Experience in value engineering and design optimization to reduce project cost/time. Software and Management Tools: MS Office Suite, Primavera P6 (basic understanding of schedule dependencies), Document control platforms (Aconex, SharePoint, Procore). Experience: Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in power plants, substations, industrial facilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects. Proven record in detailed engineering design, review of vendor drawings, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams (civil, electrical, instrumentation). Familiarity with EPC project workflows — from conceptual design to IFC (Issued for Construction) stage. Experience working with international consultants, clients, and contractors under standards such as ASME, API, NFPA, ISO, and BS. Background in HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, compressed air systems, fuel systems, and mechanical utilities. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior engineers and manage multiple design packages simultaneously.
