Our enterprise design system—Zafire—is a core enabler for all Digital Delivery teams. We are looking for an experienced Design System Lead who can act both as Product Owner and Design Lead, driving and facilitating design decisions. You will help guide our dedicated design system team consisting of UI Designers and Front-End developers, primarily based in Singapore. In this role, you will lead, orchestrate, and facilitate key decisions with clarity and confidence. You know when—and how—to involve management with decision‑ready proposals. YOUR CHALLENGE Proven experience leading complex enterprise-grade design systems, including both design libraries (Figma) and code libraries (Storybook) supporting Angular and React Strong leadership experience with cross-disciplinary design-system teams, with the ability to facilitate seamless collaboration between designers and developers 100% ownership of operational excellence, ensuring robust release management, quality assurance, and ongoing reduction of design and technical debt Masterful backlog management, including prioritizing competing requests across multiple product teams and managing Jira workflows effectively Ability to drive the strategic evolution of the design system, defining the next wave of features, capabilities, tools, and frameworks that bring value to consuming teams Great understanding of agile ways of working and design-system-specific workflows, including release governance, contribution processes, and iterative delivery aligned with product teams Knowledge of Accessibility and Mobile Design (both web and native) is required Passion for operational and organizational efficiency, with a strong focus on improving processes, governance, and collaboration models Understanding of how AI-enablement can support design-system operations, from automation in documentation to design-token governance and code generation Deep passion for documentation, ensuring that every improvement or change is fully reflected in documentation (e.g., Frontify) with the same level of rigor and quality Strong stakeholder management skills, able to navigate organizational complexity and work effectively with technical teams, branding, accessibility, governance, and consuming product teams Strong communication skills, capable of engaging in expert-level discussions with the team while also translating complex design-system topics into clear, actionable insights for management Be a brand ambassador, ensuring alignment between the design system and the bank’s overarching brand and visual identity guidelines Minimum 8–10 years of dedicated experience working with design systems in large-scale or enterprise environments YOUR PROFILE Degree from university or applied sciences with above-average grades in Service Interaction Design, UX Design or similar Passion for wealth management and a desire to create value beyond wealth Being easy to work with, pragmatic A global mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong appetite for learning Fluency in English is a must, fluency in German is a plus.
