Description

At Merit Kitchens, the Designer – Sales Consultant is the first point of contact for retail and commercial clients, both in person and virtually and is responsible for generating revenue through sales as a brand ambassador. You will be required to consult with clients to identify their project scope of work and create functional designs using Merit cabinetry. You will also be responsible for developing detailed plans, renderings, quotes, and contract paperwork for design projects.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of experience of sales and business development experience in a related industry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency with 20/20 design software or a software that is similar.
  • Knowledge of NKBA standards is considered an asset.
  • Proven understanding of industry products, services, and sales techniques.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
  • A collaborative team player that can work well around people and honor our customer first vision.
  • Quick learner with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Flexibility with working hours, including weekends (must be available to work Saturdays).
