WHO WE ARE The Colorado Floor Company has served Colorado home builders and families since 1988. We provide cabinets, countertops, flooring, lighting, stairs, trim, doors, and window coverings for production, semi-custom, custom home builders and general contractors.   SUMMARY OF POSITION The Designer is responsible for leading efficient, well-organized design appointments, guiding buyers through the selection process while maintaining alignment with budget, and educating clients on products that best suit their lifestyle and needs. This role is key in delivering a positive, seamless, and memorable customer experience. The Designer prepares and finalizes all design documentation and drawings for builders, contractors, and the CFC team, ensuring accuracy and completeness. This position collaborates closely with builders, clients, designers, and remodelers to select and coordinate finishes, including tile, cabinetry, paint, carpet, hardwood, and countertops.   PAY RANGE: $80,000-$100,000   REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS * Create comprehensive computer-generated elevations and diagrams to convey intended tile designs * Develop strong relationships with builders, sales personnel, vendors, and trade partners * Ensure accurate details of design documents are communicated to all parties involved * Adhere to deadlines * Manage multiple projects of varying budgets, sizes, and scales (up to 15 projects at times) * Maintain strong organizational skills to track all moving parts of each project * Remain calm under pressure and when issues arise * Set clear expectations for clients (pricing, timelines, scope of work, product performance) * Guide clients confidently through the design process * Understand products specified in the home (carpet, hardwood, tile, etc.) * Read and interpret floor plans QUALIFICATIONS * Degree or certification in interior design or 3+ years in flooring sales or related field * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Canva (preferred) * Experience working in a design center or with home builders (preferred) * Teamwork mentality * Positive attitude BENEFITS   Medical, dental, and vision HSA (with company contribution) & FSA Life and disability insurance Voluntary benefits (accident, critical illness, hospital) EAP and wellness programs PTO, vacation, and paid holidays   Flooring Services and our affiliated entities are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
