About the Team
CapCut team’s mission is to inspire video creation by providing users with a wide range of video editing functions and easy-to-use video templates. We aim to build the best and most localized editing experience, to help users catch up with the trend and express themselves.
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Designer Community Manager to oversee the recruitment, growth, and engagement of our design focused creator community. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of recruitment expertise and community management skills, with a passion for cultivating a vibrant, creative, and engaged community of designers. This role will focus on sourcing new talent, fostering relationships, and creating an inclusive and collaborative environment for designers to thrive.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in visual design, such as video effect, filter and transition.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or community management, preferably in the creative/design space.
  • Strong understanding of community-building principles and best practices.
  • Ability to assess and evaluate creative portfolios and understand design trends.
  • Full proficiency in English, both written & verbal.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with diverse communities and building inclusive environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with a wide range of people.
  • Proficient in using community management tools, social media platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top-tier visual designers for our community. Conduct outreach and build relationships with potential designer candidates through various channels. Manage the onboarding process for new designers, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
  • Community Engagement & Growth: Create and manage engaging initiatives that promote interaction, learning, and collaboration within the designer community. Regularly interact with designers to gather feedback, resolve concerns, and ensure they are aligned with community goals. Organize and facilitate events such as workshops and challenges to maintain active participation and community growth.
  • Content Development & Communication: Develop and share relevant content that supports the professional growth of designers. Ensure regular communication with community members via newsletters, forums, and social media channels. Gather and share insights from the community with the internal team to enhance platform offerings and support.
  • Performance & Reporting: Track and analyze community growth, engagement metrics, and recruitment performance. Report on community health, recruitment KPIs, and provide recommendations for improvements. Implement data-driven strategies to improve community retention and recruitment success.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Collaborate with commercial, product, and content teams to ensure alignment with brand objectives and community growth initiatives. Work with the creator team to align recruitment strategies with project and platform needs.
