Successful candidates will be creating plans for different commercial and agricultural structures and be experienced in those industries. Compensation & Hours:

• The rate of pay will be $80-$90K/year based on experience
• This office is based in Lethbridge but is open to a hybrid work schedule (though candidates must be able to commute occasionally)

Position Summary:

• Prepare, review, and revise technical drawings and blueprints for commercial or agricultural construction projects
• Work with builders, engineers, and project managers to ensure drawings match their vision and plan for the desired structures
• Create quotes based on layouts, ensuring accurate materials lists
• Coordinate with engineers and site supervisors to ensure drawings meet project specifications and building codes
• Maintain client files and ensure all documentation regarding project plan is correct and updated
• Work with site supervisors to understand potential design challenges and propose practical solutions

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience drafting for agricultural and/or commercial construction
• Post Secondary Education in drafting, structural engineering technology, or relevant
• Working knowledge of construction codes, practices, and materials
• High attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work
• Problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills that includes the ability to talk to clients from different industries and backgrounds

Bonus Points For:

• Experience in the MiTek design software
• Experience in truss and floor design
