Responsibilities

THE POSITION OF ESTIMATOR/DESIGNER ENCOMPASSES THE FOLLOWING KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working efficiently as a member of the Programme team
  • Understanding overhead and underground customer reticulation requirements
  • Designing or specifying logical and fit for purpose electrical or mechanical equipment for installation purposes
  • Ensuring the achievement of sales and profit targets from jobs/projects priced
  • Providing technical support to Project Managers and the Service Delivery Team
  • Contributing to Electra meeting its customer service objectives
  • Contributing to successful project planning and outcomes
  • Ensuring customer relationships are enhanced
  • Working with external providers including visits to potential site to ensure plans and designs meet requirements, specifications and expectations
  • Pricing and designing for customer projects and Network jobs
  • Meeting health and safety obligations.

THIS IS A PIVOTAL ROLE FOR OUR BUSINESS, AND AS SUCH, THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • A Diploma in Electrical Engineering is highly desirable
  • A well organised mindset and attention to detail
  • The ability to interpret complex information
  • Strong quality and safety ethics
  • A good understanding of how electricity distribution works.
  • Comfortable working with mathematic calculations
  • Experience with computer aided designs and drawing tools such as AutoCAD and Catan
