Overview DESIGNER, INSTRUCTIONAL Responsibilities Main Objectives and Duties: 1. Helps drive company values and philosophy Ensures curriculum is created within company processes and expectations, including experiential learning and adult learning principles Provides consultation and project management in curriculum and instructional design for in-class, hybrid, and online courses Proposes course designs Assists trainers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in assessing instructional outcomes, analyzing curriculum goals, and implementing high-level learning strategies Supports trainers, SMEs, and leaders in integrating social media tools, graphics, and emerging learning technologies Ensures adherence to company guidelines and procedures 2. Training Needs Identification Conducts need assessments and designs, develops, and facilitates training programs Collaborates with executive leadership to address employee and client development needs Develops a library of all modules and curriculums 3. Support Learning Technologies Implementation in Training Supports Learning Management System (LMS) and learning technologies for leaders, SMEs, and participants Conducts workshops, demos, or phone training sessions Creates documentation and instructions for course developers 4. Training Effectiveness Measurement Identifies gaps and creates action plans Designs training evaluated using the Kirkpatrick Model of Evaluation Qualifications Qualifications: College graduate in instructional design, educational technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) Experience in: Instructional design and educational technology Distance learning and training development Using and supporting LMS platforms Tools like Articulate and/or Captivate Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) – Desirable Other Skills and Competencies: Training, Teaching & Instructing Program Management Instructional Design Business Software Applications Communication
