Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize and design compelling layouts for newspaper articles, advertisements, and special features, adhering to brand guidelines and editorial standards.
  • Develop original graphics, illustrations, charts, and infographics to accompany editorial content and enhance reader comprehension.
  • Work closely with editors, writers, and photographers to ensure visual elements effectively complement written content and convey key messages.
  • Select, edit, and retouch photographs for publication, ensuring high quality and relevance to the content.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design techniques, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the visual appeal and relevance of our newspaper.
  • Assist in the creation of advertisements for local businesses, incorporating client specifications while maintaining the newspaper’s aesthetic standards.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality designs within specified deadlines.
  • Organize and maintain a library of design assets, including fonts, templates, and graphics, for efficient reuse and consistency across editions.
