JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re seeking a proactive IT Support Specialist / Desktop Support Specialist to provide onsite technical assistance at our facility in Isola della Scala (VR), near Verona. You will be the first point of contact for end-users, ensuring fast resolution of hardware, software, and network issues while maintaining high service‑level standards. This role is perfect for a candidate who thrives in a hands‑on environment, enjoys user interaction, and is passionate about optimizing IT infrastructure.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Minimum 3 years of desktop support or help‑desk experience in an enterprise environment
  • Strong expertise in Windows desktop OS, Microsoft 365 applications, and Active Directory
  • Familiarity with mobile device management (Intune, AirWatch) and endpoint security tools
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, and basic firewall configuration
  • Excellent communication skills in Italian (C1+) and English (B2+); able to translate technical issues into user‑friendly language
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple tickets and meet tight SLAs
  • ISTQB or CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications are a plus

Responsibilities
  • Deliver prompt, professional end‑user support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 workstations and basic macOS devices
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware failures (RAM, HDD/SSD, motherboards, network cards) and replace faulty components
  • Manage software deployment, patch management, and antivirus updates via Intune or SCCM
  • Configure and troubleshoot wired and wireless network connectivity, VPN access, and VoIP phones
  • Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure accurate asset tagging in the CMDB
  • Collaborate with network and server teams to escalate complex issues and drive root‑cause analysis
  • Document support tickets, resolutions, and maintain a detailed knowledge base of FAQs and best practices
  • Provide user training on standard applications (Microsoft Office 365, Teams, Outlook) and security awareness
  • Participate in hardware refresh projects, image creation, and device rollouts
