POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical Desktop Analyst with at least one year of experience in conducting background checks, social media investigations, or desktop research. This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on publicly available and proprietary information to support investigations involving individuals or entities.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of public records research, social media monitoring, and legal compliance related to data handling. You must be able to manage multiple investigations simultaneously, meet strict deadlines, and provide clear, concise, and actionable reports.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 1 year of experience conducting background checks, open-source research, or desktop investigations
• Familiarity with civil and criminal court records, including interpreting filings, dispositions, and court procedures, is a plus but not required.
• Proficient in social media investigations, including platform searching

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; able to assess large volumes of data and extract relevant insights

• Good level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written communication skills for producing concise, professional reports
• Strong internet research skills, including use of search engines and search techniques
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Conduct comprehensive desktop investigations using public records, subscription databases, and open-source intelligence (OSINT).
• Perform background checks, including criminal, civil, property, and identity verification research.
• Collect and analyze data from social media platforms and online sources.
• Compile detailed investigative reports with accurate findings and documented sources within a specific timeframe.
