Description
Our Systems Engineering team is seeking a talented desktop support engineer to work across a broad range of technologies and liaise across multiple areas of the business to support incidents, problems, and requests. You will be responsible for answering IT requests via phone, email, live chat, or Slack, and explaining solutions in technical and nontechnical terms. Given our plans for growth, there is a tremendous opportunity for contribution and expansion of your skills in this role. In this role, you will be responsible for: Desktops and laptops Ordering, installing, supporting laptops and peripherals Wiping laptops and desktops Maintaining inventory Coordinating forensic imaging Identifying, logging, and resolving technical problems with software applications or network systems Printers and scanners End user support - installing, drivers, etc End-user network support WiFi support VPN profiles Firewall Management Desk and office moves (evenings or weekends) Google Workspace End user support of Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Docs, and Slides Managing groups Managing shared drives Ensuring 2-factor authentication enrollment Collaboration and communications platforms Office 365 Slack account administration Video conferencing setup and support (Zoom, A/V equipment, external meetings) Airwatch Mobile device management Laptop device management Phones - Vonage business administration Door keycard administration Employee onboarding and offboarding Providing advice and guidance to colleagues regarding incidents Identify potential changes and system improvements to present to senior team leaders for consideration and implementation Ensure that work is carried out within agreed service levels and in accordance with department guidelines Create, maintain, and distribute reports of progress to senior leadership Maintain client databases with up to date solutions and clear record of activities Explain and document technical issues in a clear way to clients If you possess the following, we would love to explore what is available for you with our team: Earned or will earn a Bachelor’s Degree 5+ years of relevant experience supporting a small team Excellent customer service in face-to-face, telephone and electronic interaction with clients Good language and communication skills Problem-solving mentality/attitude Relevant certifications such as Microsoft/Comptia and Cisco Good understanding of computer support and troubleshooting Knowledge of Windows 10, Mac OSx and Linux Operating System Ability to work in a team Ability to prioritize projects At Vatic, we’re serious about our work—but we also believe in balance, growth, and having fun along the way. The base salary range for this role is between $90,000 and $170,000. The base salary range does not include any other form of compensation, such as any bonus amounts, or any benefits. Factors that may impact the agreed upon base salary within the range for a particular candidate include years of experience, level of education obtained, skill set, and other factors.
